The three sections, or passages, get progressively more difficult.
The question types include:
• Matching headings: You have to match headings to sections or paragraphs of the text.
• True/false/not given or yes/no/not given: You have to decide if the statements agree with the information or the writer’s views in the text.
• Matching paragraph information: You have to match information given in the question with information found in one of the paragraphs in the text.
• Summary completion: You have to complete a summary by filling in the gaps using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Sentence completion: You have to complete sentences by filling in the gaps using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Multiple choice: You have to choose the correct answer from four options.
• Matching features: You have to match features from a list with options from the text.
• Matching sentence endings: You have to match the first half of a sentence with the second half from a list.
• Note completion: You have to complete notes by filling in the gaps using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Table completion: You have to complete a table by filling in the gaps using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Flowchart completion: You have to complete a flowchart by filling in the gaps using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Diagram label completion: You have to complete labels on a diagram using words from the text or words given in a box.
• Short answer questions: You have to answer questions using words from the text.
